Seasonal Shifts

What a season! 2015 was beautiful. Fresh Cut celebrated more than three times as many weddings with local clients as we did in 2014. We hired our first crew members. We broke new ground. We grew new types of flowers. We experimented with cooperative aggregation & marketing. I incubated a human baby for the first time...

That's right, Fresh Cut Flower Farm is now a family business in a whole new way! Born Thursday, November 19, Asa Hudson is a sweet pea of a boy. Autumn was running temperate in the 60's when we went into labor, and by the time we came home it was snowing hard, and winter had truly arrived. The season shifted, and now I'm happy to report that I'm taking a couple months off from the business to learn how to raise this baby.

  • Reservations for the 2016 Weekly Bouquet Service are up, please place your orders now!
  • If you're inquiring about a 2016 event, please email me with your date, and as many details as you know, and I'll get back to you in the new year.
  • If you're a Detroit business looking for weekly or biweekly flower deliveries, that's great! Expect those services to run from July through October in 2016 and start at $20/week. Email me to get started with that.

Thank you for your interest in our local flower farm. Enjoy the winter, and see you in the new year!
